Diver at Coral Reef.....
On October 3, 1994, the USPS issued a set of four stamps called Wonders of the Sea...from brightly colored tropical fish to scuba divers, playful dolphins, to shells and sunken treasure. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Honolulu, HI) on the first day of issue captioned above. And what a colorful stamp it is: A scuba diver in shadow swims with a array of brightly colored tropical fish on a coral reef full of different coral formations and eye-popping anemones.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features two beautiful reef fish against a coral reef. The producer of this cover has written a brief commentary about the three different types of coral reefs, which we've included.
Double matted in blue and white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
