On October 20, 1994, the USPS issued a set of three different Christmas stamps ...a Stocking, a Cardinal, and Santa Claus. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the Santa Claus stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Harmony, MN) on the first day of issue captioned above. If you've been looking at the Christmas First Days Covers in our store, by now you should have become aware of the tie-in between the city of issue and Christmas. Aside from the obvious North Pole, Alaska, Santa Claus, Indiana, and Christmas, Florida, it's always fun to see what US city the USPS has selected and how many different US cities there are with names relating to this special holiday.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) is a beautiful Santa Claus with a hat just like the one on the stamp! It's printed on silk, making the colors pop out at you.

Double matted in red & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
