Stamp Collecting...

On January 23, 1986, the USPS issued a set of four large, colorful stamps to celebrate Stamp Collecting or Philately.  Shown here is a genuine 1st Day Cover, an envelope with one of the four stamps cancelled from the city of issue (State College, PA) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the USPS), shows several old US stamps and an old cancellation marker.  The picture is printed on silk, surrounded by an embossed 'gold' border.

Double matted in green and white, this item is sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
