On May 4, 1974, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the 100th Running of the Kentucky Derby.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with this stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Louisville, Kentucky) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) depicts the famous twin spires of Chrchill Downs.  Joining this cover is a full-color photo print featuring Triple-Crown winner Secretariat with jockey Turcotte, standing in the winners circle.  Collectible, historic this is a beautiful piece of postal stamp art to honor the Run for the Roses.

Matted in blue, it's sized to fit a standard 11 x 14 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
