On March 13, 1999, the USPS issued a stamp depicting a US Flag Over a Chalkboard. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Cleveland, Ohio) on the first day of issue captioned above...the 'birthday of the stamp.'
The cachet (artwork on the envelope created by a private company, not the USPS) shows a green chalkboard with childrens' drawings and an overlapping corner of the US Flag.
