On July 11, 1978, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the Rose. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Shreveport, LA - home of the International Rose Garden) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the Lemon Spice, a lovely yellow rose. It's printed on silk, the luster giving the picture an almost three dimensional quality.
Double matted in green and gold, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
