On July 11, 1978, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the Rose.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Shreveport, LA - home of the International Rose Garden) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the Lady Elgin.  It's printed on silk, the luster giving the picture an almost three dimensional quality.

Double matted in teal green and light teal green, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate  of Authenticity Included***
