On June 11, 2004, the final service for the 40th President of the United States, Ronald Reagan, who had died June 5th, was held at his burial site in California. Shown here is a genuine Commemorative Cover, an envelope with the postmark "freezing" the date and place that an event occurred. On a commemorative cover the stamp supplies current postage, for without it, the post office would not cancel.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a historic photo of Nancy's final kiss to her husband. It's printed on silk surrounded by gold embossing. Also included is the inscription on the wall at his burial site. Unaddressed, historic, collectible, this cover is a great piece of U.S. Presidential Memorabilia, one of many offered by Wall Art Collectibles.
Double matted in blue & white, it will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.
