On January 21, 1985, Ronald Reagan was sworn in as the 40th President of the United States for his second term. The private ceremony was held January 20th and the public ceremony the 21st. Shown here is a genuine Commemorative Inaugural Cover with the postmark "freezing" the date and place that the public ceremony occurred. The twenty cents flag stamp furnished current postage, for without it, the post office would not cancel. Note the special inaugural cancellation depicting the White House that was designed especially for this inaugural.
The color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features an embossed White House and the Presidential Seal. Collectible, historic, this is one of many items of Presidential Memorabilia offered by Wall Art Collectibles
Double matted in blue & white, it will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.
