On January 20, 1981, Ronald Reagan was sworn in as the 40th President of the United States. On January 20, 1985, he was sworn in again for his second term.  The official ceremony for the 1985 inauguration took place on January 20th, the public ceremony on the 21st. Shown here is a genuine Commemorative Inaugural Cover with the postmark "freezing" the date and place that the first inauguration occurred. The collector of this cover then submitted it to the Washington DC post office  in 1985 where it received another cancellation for the second inauguration at the official ceremony on January 20th.

The 15 cents flag stamp and the 20 cents flag stamp serve the purpose of supplying current postage, for without them, the post office would not cancel. Note the specially designed postmark of the White House created for the 1985 inauguration.

The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a  portrait of the Reagans. Needless to say, this cover cannot be duplicated!  It's very collectible, historic, and a must-have for any Reagan collector.  Wall Art Collectibles is proud to offer this Dual Inaugural.

Double matted in blue & white, it will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.
