On June 11, 2004, a memorial service was held at the Washington Cathedral for the 40th President of the United States, Ronald Reagan who had died June 5th. Shown here is a genuine Commemorative Cover, an envelope with the postmark "freezing" the date and place that an event occurred. On a commemorative cover the stamp supplies current postage, for without it, the post office would not cancel.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a historic photo of the service printed on silk as well as a quotation by Reagan. Unaddressed, historic, collectible, this cover is a great piece of U.S. Presidential Memorabilia, one of many offered by Wall Art Collectibles.
Double matted in blue & white, it will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.
