On June 16, 1993, the USPS issued a set of 7 stamps commemorating Legends of American Music - Rock 'n Roll and Rhythm & Blues. One honoree, Dinah Washington, is shown here on a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the cities of issue (yes, there can be more than one city ...in this case Cleveland and Santa Monica) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a photo of Washington along with a record of her hit, Unforgettable. Collectible, historic, unaddressed, pristeen, this piece makes a great gift who loves early R&B.
Double matted in blue and white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
