On May 29, 1990, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the Statehood of Rhode Island.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the full-color stamp, which depicts historic Slater Mill in Pawtucket - the 1st successful cotton mill in the U.S., cancelled from the city of issue (Pawtucket, RI) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features several vignettes of Rhode Island. The company that produced this cover has also written a brief commentary about Rhode Island, which we've included.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
