Shown here is a full-color photo print of the P-3 Orion, the US Navy's primary long-range anti-submarine patrol bomber for over 30 years. It remains the only propellor-driven aircraft still in first-line service. About to be phased out by the US, the Orion has enjoyed a long life and will continue to serve other nations well.
It's joined by an uncancelled, collectible stamp commemorating the 50th anniversary of Naval Aviation issued in 1961. A short commentary about the Orion is included.
Matted in blue, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.
