On July 30, 1966, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate 1000 Years of Polish Culture. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington, DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features Prince Mieczyskaw I and Boleslaw I as well as a map of Poland.
Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
