On October 8, 1960, the USPS issued a stamp to honor Polish Patriot, Premier, and Pianist Ignace Jan Paderewski. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above. Note the beautiful postmark of the Town Hall in Krakow, Poland created to cancel the stamp on its "birthday."

The color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a portrait of Paderewski.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
