On February 10, 1999, the New Zealand Post issued a set of stamps commemorating Pets...one of these, shown here on this Maxi Card, is the Parakeet. A Maxi Card (Maxi means Maximum Artwork) shows the beautiful stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Wanganui) on the first day of issue captioned above. Please note the charming "bunny" cancellation.
