Panda - Two Joint Issue Stamps - Souvenir
Sheet.... In May 2009, the 23rd Asian International Stamp Exhibition
was held in Hong Kong. To commemorate this event, Pitcairn Islands (stamp on left) and Vanuatu (stamp on right) each issued a
joint stamp to commemorate this event. Shown here is the Souvenir Sheet with both stamps,
each featuring different artwork of pandas, surrounded by the sheet
depicting a larger panda and bamboo. In the upper left corner is the
logo for the Hong Kong 2009 Stamp Exposition. The text between the two
stamps reads, "Miniature sheet to commemorate the joint issue between
the Pitcairn Islands and Vanuatu Post and their participation in the
23rd Asian International Stamp Exhibition, Hong Kong, May 2009."
Mounted on black and matted in teal green, it's
sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.
