On September 28, 1987, the USPS issued an imprinted postcard with the imprint or 'stamp' commemorating the Timberline Lodge set into the side of Mt. Hood, Oregon. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the full-color 'stamp', depicting this historic Lodge built by the WPA in the 1930's, cancelled from the city of issue (Timberline Lodge, OR) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features President Roosevelt dedicating the Lodge in 1937.  The producer of this cover has also written a brief commentary about Timberline, which we've included.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
