outstanding contribution to nursing in the Confederacy.

historic, and pristine, this cover features a beautiful colored photo cachet (artwork on the
envelope) of Phoebe Pember with smaller pictures of the hospital in
which she worked during the Civil War, Robert E. Lee, and several
pictures of wounded Confederate soldiers. The company that produced
this cover has also written a brief commentary about this remarkable
woman who wrote an account of her wartime nursing experiences in her
memoirs, "A Southern Woman's Story", rated as "one of the very best
Confederate memoirs."
