"The Problem We All Live With" is the name of the illustration by Norman Rockwell for Look Magazine in 1964. It's a study in contrasts...the pristine whiteness of the little girl's dress and the thrown tomatoes against the wall; the anonymity and size of the Federal Marshalls and the quiet dignity of a small child; the racial epithets written on the wall and the innocence of the new school supplies in her hand.
We've paired this full-color art print with an uncancelled stamp commemorating Desegragation of Public Schools in 1999, and depicting three children, two white, one black, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
Matted in green, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.
