On October 31, 1980, the USPS issued their religious Christmas stamp depicting Madonna & Child from the Epiphany Window on the Washington Cathedral. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows the Nativity Scene. The producer of this cover has also written a brief commentary on the Nativity and the role of Mary in Christianity. We have included a copy for you.
Double matted in blue & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
