Nathan Bedford Forrest....

If you're a Civil War enthusiast, there is a good chance that you enjoy the exploits of the Confederate Generals.  Central casting could not have come up with a more colorful cast of characters...and, at the top of the list is Nathan Bedford Forrest - a man celebrated for his audacious feats of bravery.  (Your $64.000 question is:  How many horses were shot from under him?

This elegant full-color portrait is joined by a trio of uncancelled U.S. Postage stamps.  On the left is the 1962 stamp commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Shiloh; the middle stamp also commemorates that famous Tennessee battle and was issued in 1995 in a series of 20-Civil War stamps.  The stamp on the right was issued on 6/01/46 and celebrates the sesquicentennial of Tennessee statehood, and depicts Jackson and Sevier with the capital building in the middle.

Matted in GRAY with the portrait and facsimile of his signature double matted in gold and gray, this piece is sized to fit a standard 11x14 frame.  At Postal Stamp Art, we also mat to standard frame sizes, allowing you to choose the frame that best suits your decor.
