On July 15, 2006, the USPS issued a set of four stamps honoring four Baseball Sluggers. Shown here is a black and white photo print of New York Yankees switch-hitter, Mickey Mantle, who hit 536 homers, including a record 18 home runs in World Series play. A three-time American League MVP, Mantle won the Triple Crown in 1956.
The print, embodying the power of his swing, is paired with an uncancelled, collectible stamp from the above-mentioned Baseball Sluggers series paying homage to Mickey Mantle, the fourth Yankee to be honored with a stamp. It's matted in blue and sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. At Wall Art Collectibles, we always mat to standard sizes to give you the option of selecting your own frame.
