On July 20, 1973, the Post Office of Canada issued a stamp to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the arrival of Scottish Settlers in Nova Scotia. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Ottawa, Ontario) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the Scottish Settlers arriving with the ship "Hector" in the background.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
