On February 21, 1989, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Statehood of North Dakota. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the full-color stamp, depicting a barn, cancelled from the city of issue (Bismarck ND) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features several vignettes of North Dakota...the State Capitol, a prairie scene, and the State Bird & Flower. The company that produced this cover has also written a brief commentary about North Dakota, which we've included.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
