If there is one country in the world that knows how to issue stamps for Professional Hockey Players, it's Canada! In 2002, Canada issued this Souvenir Sheet - six stamps featuring six different NHL All Stars surrounded by extra artwork, in this case, close-up photos of each player. The players honored are: Tim Horton, Guy Lafleur, Howie Morenz, Glenn Hall, Red Kelly, and Phil Esposito. Canada is not limited by the "ten year rule" which dominates the USPS. They can issue stamps for living people, whereas in the US, anyone other than a president has to have been dead for 10 years before their face can appear on a US stamp; a president will get a stamp within a year of their death.
Matted in blue, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.
