On April 4, 2002, the USPS issued a set of 50 stamps commemorating each state in postcard format. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the full-color stamp for the state of New York depicting Niagara Falls and the Manhattan Skyline, cancelled from the city of issue (Albany, NY) on the first day of issue captioned above. Note the special postmark created to cancel this set of 50 stamps on their 'birthday.'
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) shows the beautiful State Capitol Building in Albany plus a map of New York.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
