On December 10, 1951, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 175th Anniversary of the Battle of Brooklyn.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp, depicting Washington and his army at  Brooklyn, cancelled from the city of issue (Brooklyn, NY) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features a photo of a painting of George Washington at the Battle of Brooklyn.

Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
