On April 22, 1964, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorating the New York World's Fair held 1964-65. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp, depicting the large globe sculpture, cancelled from the city of issue (World's Fair, NY) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) shows the large globe sculpture, one of the symbols of the Fair, as well as its theme, "Peace through Understanding."
Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
