On June 15, 1964, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 300th Anniversary of New Jersey. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Elizabeth, NJ) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features the two founders of New Jersey - John Lord Berkley and Sir George Carteret.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
