On September 11, 1987, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the Statehood of New Jersey. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the full-color stamp, depicting a Colonial Farmer with a basket of produce, cancelled from the city of issue (Trenton, NJ) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The blue-toned cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features William Patterson, delegate to the Constitutional Convention.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
