Shown here is a Proof Card...printed on heavy stock paper, it features original art by Gene Jarvis of the New Hampshire State Capitol completed in 1819. Atop the magnificent granite dome is a great eagle, well known symbol of freedom. The cachet is surrounded with an embossed oval border.
The two stamps, one of the US Capitol and the other the State Flag of New Hampshire issued in the bicentennial year, are cancelled from Concord on June 21, 1983 - the anniversary of statehood. The producer of this cover has also written a brief commentary about New Hampshire, which we've included.
Matted in blue, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
