On July 22, 1964, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Statehood of Nevada. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp, depicting Carson City, cancelled from the city of issue (Carson City, NV) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features the State Capitol Building at Carson City and an inset of James Nye, the First Governor .
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
