Nebraska..... On
February 23, 1976, the USPS issued a set of 50 stamps depicting all 50
state flags. Shown here is the stamp for the Nebraska state flag on a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features the State Flag and the statue of William Jennings Bryan located
in the US Capitol. The text reads, "State of Nebraska - Admitted to
the Union - Thirty-seventh, 1867. William Jennings Bryan (1860-1925)
Orator and Statesman - Lifetime champion of reform - Thrice candidate
for President."
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
