This full-color art print by legendary Civil War artist, Mort Kunstler, depicts The Ghost Column led by Nathan Bedford Forrest. After a severe defeat at Ft. Donalson, Confederate officers surrendered opening up Tennessee to Union forces. One officer refused to surrender his troops, leading them out under the cover of a snowy winter night ensuring they would fight again. It's paired with an uncancelled, collectible 1962 stamp commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Shiloh, that would take place two months later.
Matted in gray, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.
