"The Da Vinci Code"....
Shown here is a Souvenir Sheet with a 2006 stamp issued by the Republic of Benin to commemorate the movie "The Da Vinci Code." A Souvenir Sheet is, in this case, one stamp surrounded by extra artwork. They are produced in limited numbers and are meant to be left intact and collected. The stamp features Tom Hanks in his role as symbols expert Robert Langdon, with the head of Christ from a DaVinci painting in the background. The surrounding artwork again features Tom Hanks, this time joined by co-star Audrey Tautou in her role as cryptographer Sophie Neveu. The "Mona Lisa" by DaVinci is in the upper corner.
Matted in black and white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.
