On July 17, 1987, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Treaty of Marrakech. Ratified by the US in 1787, this treaty establishes peace and friendship between the U.S. and Morocco. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color silk cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a Moroccan scene and a map of Morocco.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
