On June 29, 1999, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate Mold-Blown Glass, not used in America until the 19th century. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Corning, NY) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a woman with a  molded glass candy dish. If you are a collector of mold-blown glass, this US postal tribute to this decorative type of glass will be a must-have addtion to your collection. The producer of this cover has also written a brief history on mold-blown glass; a copy has been incuded for you.

Double matted in green & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
