On November 14, 1984, the former country of Yugoslavia issue a set of stamps to commemorate the Summer Olympic Games being held in Los Angeles. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp commemorating the Olympic Sport of Men's Rowing cancelled from the city of issue (Belgrade) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a man rowing. The producer of this cover has also written a brief commentary about Rowing that was added as an olympic sport in 1900. Today there are eight mens' competitions and six for women. Historic, collectible, this is a great piece of Rowing Memorabilia.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
