Medical, Doctor - 'The Shot' Print by Norman Rockwell, 3 Postal Stamps

Norman Rockwell.....
As the doctor prepares the syringe, the
little boy seems more than interested in the diploma on the wall,
probably to keep his mind off what is about to happen. Norman Rockwell, as usual, takes us
right into the doctor's office bearing witness to a scene that is all
too familiar from our childhoods. We've paired this full-color print of
"The Shot"
with three uncancelled
medical stamps.
On the left is the 2005 stamp calling attention
to Child Health, depicting a
doctor listening to the chest of a young patient - all in silhouette.
The middle stamp is the 1947 stamp honoring the doctor. The 1999
stamp on the right is from the Celebrate the Century series of 150
stamps - this one from the decade of the 1950's commemorating the Polio Vaccine and showing a doctor
giving a shot.
Matted in green with four separate openings, it's sized
to fit a standard 11x14 frame.
