Mount St. Mary's University....
On April 26, 2008, the USPS issued an imprinted postcard with the imprint or "stamp" commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Mount St. Mary's University, the second oldest Catholic university in the United States. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, in this case a postcard with the imprint or "stamp," depicting The Terrace, cancelled from the city of issue (Emmitsburg, MD) the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) depicts the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception with its large rose window. It's printed on silk and framed in a gold-embossed border.
