In 1999, the USPS issued a set of 20 stamps to commemorate Insects & Spiders.  Shown here is the stamp celebrating one of the most-loved Butterflies of North America...the Monarch. The stamp is on a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Indianapolis) on the first day of issue (October 1, 1999.)

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) depicts a budding entomologist checking out his back yard.  Whimsical, collectible, historic, the cover also features a wonderful cancellation!

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
