Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover commemorating the Mockingbird. It's an envelope with the new stamp cancelled on the first day (June 13,1987) from the city of issue (the USPS Station in Toronto Canada.)
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the feisty mockingbird intently eying a dangling spider. Once named "four hundred tongues" by the Indians, this backyard visitor is the master of mimicry.
Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included plus a short commentary on the Mockingbird***
