The 2006 NBA Championship was won by the MIAMI HEAT in the final game of the series played in Dallas, Texas against the Dallas Mavericks. Shown here is a genuine Commemorative Postal Cover, with the postmark 'freezing' the date the championship was won - June 20, 2006 at the city the game was played - Dallas, Texas. On a commemorative cover, the stamp merely serves the purpose of supplying current postage, for, without it, the post office would not affix its postmark.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features the two stars of the Miami Heat team - Dwayne Wade and Shaquille O'Neal. There's a close-up and action shot of each.
