On February 6,1988, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the Statehood of Massachusetts. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp, depicting the Brattle Street Church, cancelled from the city of issue (Boston, MA) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features several vignettes of Massachusetts. The company that produced this cover has also written a brief commentary about Massachusetts, which we've included.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
