On April 4, 1975, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the launching of the Mariner Unmanned Space Probe to send data back on the first two planets in our Solar System, Mercury and Venus. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Pasadena, CA) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows a drawing of Mariner.

Double matted in blue & white, this piece will fit a standard 8 X 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
