Lyndon Baines Johnson.... After finishing out Kennedy's term, Lyndon Baines Johnson was elected the 36th President of the United States in 1964 and inaugurated on January 20, 1965 in Washington D.C. Shown here is a genuine Commemorative Cover with the postmark "freezing" the date and place that the inauguration occurred. The two stamps furnish current postage, for without it, the post office would not cancel. The two stamps used on this cover are the Centennial of Texas Statehood issued in 1945, and a 1950 stamp featuring the White House.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a portrait of Johnson. Unaddressed, historic, collectible, this cover is a great piece of U.S. Presidential Memorabilia.
Double matted in blue & white, it will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.
