On July 28, 1954, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the historic expedition of William Clark and Meriwether Lewis (1804-6) on its 150th Anniversary.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Sioux City, Iowa) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features portraits of both men as well as the boat they used to make their water passages. This is one of several collectible, historic pieces of American History Memorabilia offered by Wall Art Collectbles.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
