On August 14, 1987, the USPS issued four different stamps commemorating the art of Lacemaking. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with one of the stamps stamps cancelled from the city of issue (Ypsilanti, Michigan) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a lacemaker, a bobbin, and a display of lace. The producer of this cover has also written a brief commentary on lacemaking. A copy has been made for you.
